Li'l Strikers Soccer for BOYS and GIRLS (in Pre-K in Fall 2019)

Li'l Strikers engages younger children in a variety of playful, soccer-oriented activities that:

  1. Provide exercise, fun, and challenge
  2. Develop ball skills, coordination, and cooperation
  3. Introduce basic principles of soccer (i.e. no hands, boundary awareness, scoring)

WHEN: From 10:45 to 11:45 a.m. on Saturdays, from September 14 through October 26. NOTE: No soccer on October 12, the Saturday of Columbus Day weekend. Make-ups for weather cancellations are on Sundays, same time, same place.

WHERE: Magnolia Woods Upper Fields, 474 Western Avenue, Gloucester.

PARKING: Please park in the lot closest to Western Avenue and walk up the hill to the field by the upper parking lot.
 

REQUIRED: Each player will be provided with a team t-shirt, but must also have:

  1. Soccer Cleats or Sneakers
  2. Shin Guards
  3. Soccer Socks

PARENT PARTICIPATION: Helping on the field deepens your relationship with your child and their friends. Armando Marnoto, the head coach of the FYS in-town program and Gloucester High School's boys' varsity soccer team will show you the ropes.

**WAITLIST**: If this program is waitlisted, go ahead and join the waitlist and we will re-open to more players as soon as we have enough parents willing to help lead activities. If you are able to help, please indicate that you are able to coach (or volunteer in other ways) when you register. Thank you!

GK Soccer for BOYS and GIRLS (in Kindergarten in Fall 2019)

The GK program is for boys and girls who will be in kindergarten in Fall 2019

WHEN: From 12 noon to 1 p.m. on Saturdays, from September 14 through October 26. NOTE: No soccer on October 12, the Saturday of Columbus Day weekend. Make-ups for weather cancellations are on Sundays, same time, same place. 

WHERE: Magnolia Woods Upper Fields, 474 Western Avenue, Gloucester.

The G2 Boys program is for boys who will be in grade 1 or 2 in the fall of 2019

WHEN: From 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturdays, from September 14 through November 9. NOTE: No soccer on October 12, the Saturday of Columbus Day weekend. Make-ups for weather cancellations are on Sundays, same time, same place.

Games are usually on Saturdays, with home games in Gloucester and away games played throughout Essex County. Eight games will be scheduled, starting early in September. Each team has two additional practices per week. The practices are scheduled by each team's coach, so the practice schedule varies.
