PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Offered in both the fall and the spring, our 8-week G6 program is for players in 5th and 6th grades. G6 has boys' teams and girls' teams. G6 has two practices per week and a game on Saturdays. Home games are played in Gloucester; away games are played in other Essex County communities. Practice days and times are at the discretion of the cocach. 

SPRING SEASON 2023

REGISTRATION IS OPEN! Please register by January 1st to avoid a late fee; because of Essex County league deadlines all players must register by February 1st. 

OPTION TO REGISTER NOW and PAY LATER: You can register today, pay as much as you are able to... and then pay your remaining balance by March 11th.  (Any unpaid balance will automatically be charged to your credit card on file on March 11th.)

PLAYER PHOTO: A current headshot photo (like the one on a driver's license) is required for all G6 Players. You'll have the opportunity to upload one when you register. 

SPRING SEASON DATES: First game on April 8th; coaches decide when to start practices

HOME GAMES: Magnolia Woods Upper Fields, 474 Western Avenue, Gloucester.

AWAY GAMES: In other Essex County communities.

GAME DURATION: G6 games consist of two 30-minute halves and a 5-minute halftime.

UNIFORMS: Players wear maroon uniforms with jersey numbers assigned by FYS. We'll send you an email about uniforms closer to the beginning of the season. A full FYS uniform kit (jersey, shorts, and socks) costs $26.95, plus $7.95 for shipping.

REQUIRED EQUIPMENT: 

• Soccer cleats 
• Shin guards
• Soccer socks
• A #5 soccer ball
• A water bottle labeled with your child's name
• No jewelry
